THE TYPE OF CLASSES THAT I HESITATE

In order to get good results in my studies, I personally feel that the time we spend learning in class is important. But, some classes will let me feel hesitate. The type of classes that I dislike is, the boring style of lecture’s skill, the attitude of students in class and lastly is the environment in the class.

For me, lecture’s teaching skills is the biggest factor that influenced me. This is because lecturer is what we know as the most important character and playing the most important role in the class. Do u agree that? I believe that a good lecturer will produce outstanding students. I hate the style of lecturer which teach in a fast speed with unclear voices, simple and short brief in explanations without understanding a topic more detail. This make me more confuse even worst when lecturers does not follow their syllabus when giving lecture. Moreover, lecturers which only focus on theory but not more in practical. Both theory and practical are equally important for a students, as theory let the students to understand a certain topic whereas, practical enable a students know when to apply and how to apply in their future when they face in real situation. By this way, study will be more interesting and not just understand by memorizing. Last but not least, lecturer’s outlook is very important. Lecturers with untidy and informal dress, cause me can’t focus well because of I’m not even willing to glance and listen to them.

On the other hand, I feel that students also play an important role which affect whether I choose to listen or auto shut down during lecture. The attitude of students which is incorporate in class will influence the mood of lecturer teach. This indirectly affect the efficiency of lecturer in teaching, lecturer may be disappointed towards the attitude of students. This is unfair to those who really want to listen the class. Nevertheless, bad attitude of students in class may delay the time together with syllabus. Lecturer and those students who is hardworking may under pressure because lack out of time to prepare for exam. The pressure may bring many negative effects to a students. If students does not know how to overcome it, it may cause a large impact for a student. In addition, students
who are naughty will try to criticize and making fool on lecturer’s explanation. In this case, for those lecturer who can’t stand this type of situation, they may lost their temper and get angry. The progress in class also being affected by keep scolding those problems maker students.

Lastly, the poor environment will affect me too. The least condition of classes should be got a bright light, good air ventilation and clear display of projector on the screen. Classes with dim light will make me feel tired and sleepy. It also affect our eye sight and cause our eyes tired easily. Other than then, air ventilation is important too. If the air ventilation is bad, the classroom or lecture hall will be under high temperature. I lost my concentration due to uncomfortable temperature which cause me to sweat like mad. This also may cause me feel dizzy because there is lack of oxygen. Can u imagine when yourself sitting in an oven and in the same time need to focus in the class? I totally can’t imagine! Nowadays, lecturer normally use projector when giving lecture. This is good, efficient and advance. But! I will be frustrated when the projector screen display is unclear. Even worst when I can’t really see the words displaying, I need figure out those words one by one. Sometimes I may lost my patient to do so.

Conclusion, the type of class may affect someone willingness whether to listen or not. Lecturers should play their role to make sure that every students is following the class without leaving some behind and always ensure that the lecture room always is in a good condition. Of course, the corporation between students and lecturers are important too. This will make the studies more interesting.

MY LIFE IN MMU

After I finish my studies in secondary school, I choose to study foundation in management course at MMU. I feel that life in MMU is great. First of all, it is because of the professional teaching skills of lectures with advance teaching tools and facilities provided. Second, I get to know more friends from different state or even country. Lastly, it’s is a big step forward in my life.

Firstly, I found that all lectures here are professional in their teaching skills with advance teaching tools and facilities provided. Advance teaching tools are being used when giving lecture, this make the learning process more efficient. At the same time, to make us really understand on certain topic, repeating explanation and examples will be given. Moreover, after finish a certain topic, exercise and homework will be given too, there will be discussion among students and lecturer if we face any problems in our exercise. Other than that, we can look for lecturer during lecturer’s consultation hour, lecture will try to understand and help students when students come across with any problems related to studies or even some personal problems. Study environment in library is special, it open until 12am midnight, this encourage me to study hard. Internet access with wireless also being provided in library, this allowing me to search for details and research through website.

I able get to know more friends from different state or even country. Since I’m staying away and far from my parents, I can’t expect to get help from my parents when come across with problems, if possible I will try to get help from my friends. This can increase my communication skills when I communicate with friends by using different type of languages. Other than that, I got the chance to understand culture from other country, in the same time I will try to do analysis and comparing their culture with the culture that I own. I will be accompany by my friends most of the time . I won’t felt loneliness and able to share our happiness with friends. By this my life in MMU won’t be bored although I’m staying far from hometown and life with more meaningful.

After I start my life in MMU, it changed my future consider as a big step forward in my life. The reasons of I saying this is because I have to start my independence life after living under my parents guidance for 18years. I can have my own freedom, I can make my own decision, I can do anything as I like. Although it sounds like not that bad and fun but it is a difficulties for me, as I have to learn how to be more independence, I have to be smart in making my own decision, I have to study harder and more serious because university life is totally different with secondary school life. In high school, everything I want I have to do or even hunt for it, it will no longer like in secondary school which is well ready prepare for me. Well, It’s took me a week to be adapt to high school life and I felt that it is one part of small challenge that anyone should face to success in our life.

In conclusion, life in MMU is great, I never regret on my decision and choice that I made to choose study in MMU. MMU is the first in the ranking of private university, so I will study hard to get good results. By this, it will minimize my parents burden and bring a brighter future in my life with the leading of MMU.
